I developed an app prototype in 5 hours for WINFO hackathon to streamline food management and reduce food waste for college roommates, targeting the $70 billion food waste industry.
Ideation & Competitor Analysis
The concept for our fridge management solution was inspired by a personal encounter with mold in a fridge. Recognizing that smart fridges are too expensive for college students, we aimed to create an affordable alternative. We analyzed current market apps to grasp user needs and identify gaps. This led us to design an app tailored for college students, focusing on desired features and revenue generation strategies.
