I’m Claire, a designer driven by empathetic innovation: creating products and experiences that, by centering overlooked communities, make the world more accessible for everyone. I’m pursuing a double degree in Informatics and Business at the University of Washington.
I’ve worked on impactful projects that combine design, technology, and storytelling. I led the creation of a live translation app to improve multilingual healthcare access and a voice-assisted rideshare platform to help seniors maintain independence. These experiences taught me the power of designing for the edges, as solutions intended for certain groups often benefit a much broader audience.
Outside of my professional work, I love to perform. I was a competitive dancer for 10 years, competed in beauty pageants and earned the title of Miss Asian Global First Princess 2022, and once MCed an event for 1,500 people at Benaroya Hall. I’m drawn to the intersection of beauty, fashion, and technology, and experiencing New York Fashion Week is next on my list.
Whether I’m designing accessible solutions, building brands, or performing on stage, my mission is to empower people and celebrate diversity.
